Growing up near the woods at Floral Hills Cemetery, she enjoyed sneaking out with friends and being a typical teenager along with her two brothers. Her best friends Melody and Charlotte lived a few houses down, as she was over at their place often playing dress up and hanging out. Charlotte ended up watching Robin and Melody as she was older by a few years. After High school she started her first job, working briefly at a nursing home for $4.90/hr, in terrible conditions. She learned hard work lessons while earning a small wage. She met her true love Dale Anderson after he had a bad Motorcycle accident in 1977. She cared for him and mended him back to health over the next few years. They were married on July 14th, 1979 in Edmonds Washington with family attending including her brother's and In-laws who hadn’t moved out of state. Over the next few years raising her son and being a stay at home mom, she decided to enter the workforce as a lunch lady for the Edmonds School District. She ended up doing 25-30 years as a union Food Service worker for the District. She was the boss and leader of the kitchen at Hazelwood Elementary in Lynnwood Washington. They both got to enjoy pre retirement, even though they were still working. Over 36 plus years of marriage they never left each other's sides.
