

Rolanda C. Flojo peacefully passed away at the age of 73 on August 12, 2014 in Everett, Washington. She was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on September 17, 1940. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Accounting from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines. Upon graduation, she sat for the Certified Public Accountant Examination and passed. In 1968, her family moved to Hawaii to be with her father. She married her high school sweetheart Julio G. F. Flojo in 1970 and both raised their three loving daughters. Rolanda was very involved in the Filipino community in Hawaii and helped with many charitable events over the years. She was also the co-founder of Hawaii Fil-American Association. She enjoyed cooking, reading and walking along the beach. She especially had a great love for music and dancing. She was a prominent member of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association. Rolanda worked as a bookkeeper at Universal Manufacturers for over 35 years from 1970 to 2006 and enjoyed going to work every day. After retirement, she moved to Seattle, Washington to be near her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Julio G. F. Flojo, her three daughters Joanne F. Bautista, Rosalie F. Toves and Juliet C. Flojo, six grandchildren and her sister Caridad C. Ramos. She loved life and lived it to the fullest and always was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. We will miss you and your beautiful smile…until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills at 9:00 a.m. for viewing and 11:00 a.m. for service.
