Rosie was a dear friend of many years.  She will be missed by so many whose lives she has touched.  Special prayers for her "kids".

Nancy Rustad again: I'm wondering if Lacey Sattler's dad is related in any way to our niece's husband, Stuart Sattler? They live just outside of Spokane in Reardon. I know it is a small world!
Karen Peacock's note reminded me of how Rosaleen helped me out,many years ago, when I moved into an apartment that didn't allow pets.  Of course I tried to sneak my kitty in.  Kitty was discovered by management, and Rosaleen took Callie into her home for several months until I could move into a "legitimate animal" space.  She did love animals, and included my kitty in her generous friendship!

I, too, was stunned to learn Rose has gone. We worked together at Cocoon House nearly 20 years ago and became good friends, having much in common.  These last  years we have used email many times a week, to laugh, cry, pray for each other and our families, holding hands through the ups and downs of growing older.  She may have been as surprised as I was to find that her days on earth were done and it was time to go.  I know she hoped to have her kids join her there some day, and of course, her beloved Lacey. I hope we can get in touch as I have a couple short letters I'd like to share.  I sure will miss my dear friend, Rose.

Rose's Family, 
I met your mom at the hair salon one Saturday afternoon when she fell in love with a little white dog I had in my lap. I watched Roses' face as Daisy Mae stole her heart. I am glad to have met Rose. She was a great lady that loved her family, especially her granddaughter Lacey. I feel fortunate to have known Rose and I am terrribly sad that she is gone.

Your Mother was a very special lady and loved being a Mom.  We had several things in common, but most of all our name as neither one of us had ever met another Rosaleen until we met and she became our babysitter.  Not sure if you will remember us as it was just for a short period of time.  Our love, prayers, and best wishes are with you all.

Dear Family,
Some special angel nudged me to pick up an Everett Herald today.  I was stunned to read of Rosaleen's death.  Please accept my sympathy and prayers.

She was a very special person in my life.  We worked together as nuns at Holy Names Academy in Spokane. We left the Community the summer of 1969, and lost touch over the years after she and Joe moved to the Shoreline area.  She was such a wonderful, warm, gifted and talented young woman.  And what good times and laughs we shared while living in the Community!  I'm sorry we lost touch and I didn't get to meet any of you children. 
You were blessed to share your lives with her.  Regretfully, I can't attend the service on Monday, but I said a Rosary right after I saw the notice.  You are all in my prayers, and I thank God that she was part of my life.  And that she sent me news, 43 years later, of her departure for the next phase of her life!

I was very saddened to learn that Rose Rowe died. She was my piano teacher for the past year. I had been struggling recently with Bach's Minuet in G major. When I received the sad news I sat down and played it perfectly! Her warmth and sense of humor will be missed.

A Mass will be said at St. Peters in Spokane for your Mother.

Rose taught my son piano for the last 4 years.  He learned not just piano but felt that she truly care for him and others.  We are so sorry for your loss.  We will miss her dearly but know that she is with the Lord.

Deanna, Angie, and Bob, Your mom was such a special person. I will always remember her sense of humor, her laughter and most of all her love as a friend. Whenever we got together she talked about all of you and Lacey was the world to her. She was so very proud of each of you. Forever cherish your memories as those can never be taken away. Although this is a very difficult time may you have comfort knowing that your mom is with the Lord now. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Deanna, Angie and Bob, I was so saddened to find out that your dear mother, "Rosie" has died. I last saw her three years ago and at that time we renewed our friendship memories of high school and beyond.  She spoke with pride of all of you.

I felt so sad to see the picture of my new church friend, Rose, in the paper this morning.  Rose introduced herself to me a few months ago at Mass and had sat with me several times. I was able to learn about her music. I will miss her smiling and friendly face. I thank God for bringing her into my life, if only for a short time. God Bless your family.
