The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. - Isaiah 57:1-2
Ryan Minh Truong was born on August 1, 2000 in Edmonds, WA and passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at the tender age of 17, only a mere 4 days away from graduating high school, due to cardiomyopathy. He attended Lynnwood High School and was co-captain on the Varsity football team and a talented drummer in the school band. He was also a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Leadership, Key Club and Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). Ryan was ready to start college in the fall and wanted to study computer science at the University of Washington.
Ryan accepted Jesus into his heart at age 5 and has always hoped in the Lord as he grew older. He was always caring, loving and kind towards others. He never failed to show his mom how much he loved her. Ryan loved and cared deeply for his friends and family. He was goofy and silly and made others laugh and smile.
Ryan is survived by his parents Kevin Truong and Ha Vo; his brother Richard. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Hung Vo and Huong Tran; and his paternal grandparents, Lang Truong and My Dinh. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood, WA. Please see details below.
