Stanley Norman Kleisath, age 88 of Anacortes, Washington passed away peacefully on September 21, 2018 in the arms of his loving wife Katherine May Kleisath. Stan was born to Norman and Bessie Kleisath of Everett, Washington on September 1, 1930 in Everett, Washington.
Stan attended and graduated from La Conner High School in May of 1948. While attending high school Stan was one of the Braves on the football and basketball teams winning many games and playing at state. During summers of high school years and after graduation Stan became a commercial fisherman in Alaska on a per seine boat. After fishing season in 1950 Stan met Katherine M. Schlotman and they were married in April of 1951. Stan and Katherine raised four children.
Stan entered the electrical apprenticeship program in Seattle prior to his marriage and became a journeyman electrician through IBEW Local 46 in Seattle, Washington. He worked as a foreman on many heavy construction and industrial jobs through the states of Washington and Alaska. Stan was also an inventor creating many tools used in the trade and got a patent on his Rolling Reel Jack fulcrum lift used to help prevent injuries. At that time Stan formed his own company called Kleisath Tools, Inc.
Stan always found time to be an active member of the Catholic churches in areas in which his family was living, and in his retirement a member of St. Mary Parish in Anacortes. Stan joined the Knights of Columbus in the 1950's and became a 4th degree knight. He served his family and parish families well. Stan loved sports so he always had a boat, taking his family on countless adventures. He loved fishing, snorkeling and swimming with the family along with camping, vacations were always a family affair.
Stan is survived by his wife Katherine; sons, Greg Kleisath, and Michael Kleisath; daughters, Lesa Maria Roehrich and Joan Katherine Myrick; brother, Bill Kleisath; nine grandchildren and spouses; and 19 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed!
