Marit and the rest of the Aarvik family, it was a shock to hear about Steve leaving this life far too early.
The warm thoughts and tears cried just prove how much he meant for so many people.
I was so lucky to have seen the warmth and kindness in his eyes.
I am glad I met him for a brief moment in time and space.
Remember him with pride.

Marit, Scott and I are thinking of you as the holidays approach. Knowing you have your girls & grandbabies to comfort you during these days is of great comfort...but please know that you have many friends who also hold you in our thoughts and prayers. Steve will be missed, but his legacy of laughter will go on. Just can't help but smile just thinking about him...

Come With Me

The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms aroud you
And whispered ‘Come with me.'
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Your beautiful smile at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
He always takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you,
We miss you so each day.
Our lives just aren't the same
Ever since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely
And everything goes wrong,
We hear you gently whisper,
‘Cheer up and carry on.'
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
‘Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday.'

We miss you Dad! Rest in peace.

It was with great sorrow we received the sad message that Steve has passed away. Unfortunately, the captain has started his last journey far too early.
