Thomas George Foster

March 2, 1936-May 1, 2016

Born in Arlington, Washington died at Harborview Hospital, Seattle. Married high school sweetheart, Martha W. Gruwell August 17, 1956. Graduated from Arlington High School in 1954 & University of Washington in 1959. He completed one year of Graduate School. Hired into Boeing with an Aeronautical Engineering Degree. Worked at Boeing for 38 years, retiring in 1997. Hobbies were many, woodworking, guns, hiking, boating, flying, but most of all, his Honda Gold Wings. Marty and Tom put on 50,000 miles in three summers traveling all 48 states and parts of Canada six weeks out at a time. Tom leaves behind his wife Marty of nearly 60 years. Also, his four children Cindy (Stewart) Hoagland, Connie Foster, Guy (Angie) Foster , Christy Foster, & deceased son Ty Foster (1997). Also, survived by four grandchildren, Strand Hoagland (Matthew), Sky Hoagland, Sarah Foster, & Cole Foster. Brother Dell (Lois) Foster, 17 nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents Lila & Gilbert, in-law's Wallace & Eleanor Gruwell, brothers Dick & Lauren, brother in law Wally Gruwell.
