Willard R. Thornton Jr., 72, of Everett, Washington died October 15, 2016.
Bill Thornton, son of Willard Sr. and Margaret, beloved husband of Linda Thornton for over 50 years, passed away suddenly the morning of October 15th at his home in Everett, WA. He is survived by his wife Linda and only daughter Deana and son-in-law David Peterson and by five grandchildren: Isaiah, Alexander, Amanda, Elaina, and Jaycob; all living in the local area. Also survived by his sisters: Sandie, Sharon, Bonnie and one brother, Stanley. He is preceded in death by his parents and youngest sister, Georgia.
Bill worked as a construction laborer for most of his life and remained a faithful member of the Laborers Local 440 Union. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and cooking. He is known for sharing the best of his garden vegetables with neighbors and family. He enjoyed being extra generous at Christmas and surprising the grandkids. He dreamed of buying an RV and traveling the states or living in a cabin in the woods. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. An interment service will be held on Monday, October 31st at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills funeral home in Lynnwood at 11 a.m.
