YDu Eban

April 28, 1945 - May 29, 2026

Petros (Peter) YDu Eban, a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and Vietnam War veteran, departed this life peacefully in the loving presence of his children at 3:00am on May 29, 2026 at the age of 81 in Lynnwood, WA. He had been suffering with kidney disease for the past couple years now and fought a hard battle to stay strong. He is now resting in the hands of the Lord.

He will be remembered by his wife, Paula H'Bluk Rcom, and their kids: YDuan Eban, Terr Rcom, Klot Rcom, H'Bluan Rcom, H'Jing Rcom Eban, H'Cheng Rcom Eban, H'Linna Rcom Eban, Kler Rcom Eban, Francisco Rcom Eban, and Truh Rcom (deceased). He will also be lovingly remembered by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. They will forever honor his memory.

YDu Eban was born on April 28th, 1945, in Buôn Ko Tam, Ban Mê Thuột, Đắk Lắk, Việt Nam to Hyư Eban and YDjap Kpor. He fought in the Vietnam War, alongside with the Green Berets. He told of bold and courageous stories of his experiences in the war where he watched the Ho Chi Minh Trail and worked at the US Embassy. His life was marked by grit, power, kindness, determination and resilience. After spending roughly 5 years as a prisoner of war, he worked hard to get his family to America. YDu moved to Washington with his family in October 1994 in pursuit of seeking freedom, refuge, and opportunity after the Vietnam War.

His devotion to his family will never be forgotten. The love he had for his family and friends will carry on into the afterlife. His memory will live on with us forever as we carry his resilience, kindness, and ambition in our lives. We will cherish every moment we spent with him and keep his memory alive in every way. May his soul rest in eternal peace with the Lord.

Memorial Mass: June 11, 2026 at 9:30am at St. Mary Magdalen

He will be laid to rest at 11:30am at Holyrood Cemetery following mass.
