Adell Marylou Hancock, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, September 11, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Niblett officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Adell was born in McDonough, Georgia to the late Jarrett Peeples Turner, Sr. and Lula Maude Tidwell Turner. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hancock, Sr.; son, Howard Wayne “Pee Wee” Hancock; sisters, Bell, Anne and Sarah; and brothers, Doc, Jr., Grady, Les and D.T.
Adell was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Barnesville. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, William Carlton Hancock; grandchildren, John Hancock, Jimmy Hancock, Brian Hancock, Dwight Hancock, Dewayne Hancock and Jennifer Hancock; ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and sister, Molly (L.F.) Johnston.
