Albert "Al" E. Sellers

Albert “Al” E. Sellers, 85, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 in Niceville, FL. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Neal Wall officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.

Al was born on December 28th, 1928 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Albert B. and Josephine S. Sellers. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Bennett Sellers. Al served in the United States Air Force where he worked as Director of Communications at the Pentagon and retired from Civil Service at Warner Robins AFB.

He was a member of both Midway Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church for many years and was owner and operator of Sellers Plumbing Company, a trade he learned from his father. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a friend.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene B. Sellers of Niceville, FL, son, Ricky (Pat) Sellers of Ft Valley, daughter, Donna (Phil) Welch of Juliette, grandchildren, Shannon (Jenna) Sellers, Kelly (Evan) Wilson, Bennett Welch, KaraSellers, Kacie Welch and 4 great-grandchildren, three stepsons Aaron (Vida), Greg, and Phil (Vicky) Brinson, six step-grandchildren, and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
