Albert Adams Day Jr.

Albert Adams Day, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday at his residence. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Macon Memorial Park. The Reverends Stephen Kitchens and Garry Willis will officiate. The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family request to those who wish memorial contributions be made to Bethel Baptist Church 7495 Knoxville Road, Lizella, GA 31052.

Mr. Day was the son of the late Albert Adams Day and Lucille Price Day. He was a lifelong residence of Macon, was retired supervisor of the HVAC shop at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he was past Chairman of the Board of Deacon’s, past superintendant of Sunday school, past Training Union director and a member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Evelyn “Jane” Day and a brother Kenneth Day. Mr. Day was a Charter member of Masonic Lodge 633 F&AM. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

Mr. Day is survived by his 2 sons; Charles E. Day of Tallahassee, FL and John A. (Bonita) Day of Macon, Grandchildren; Natasha (Scott) Almon of Macon, Adrienne Day of Tallahassee, FL, Lewis Day of Macon, Austin Day of Tallahassee, FL, Great-Grandchildren; Mariah, Miranda, and Meleah Almon all of Macon, 1 Sister; Wanda Day (Gordon) Young of Banning CA, nieces; Joyce (Tom) Villalobos, Janice (Robb) Harley and Robin Day, nephews; Alan (Mara) Young, Kenneth Day, Jr., and David (Harriette) Day
