Alfred Alton Brown Jr., age 92, of Musella, GA, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021. A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Reverend Clay Burdett and Reverend Bobby Hamlin officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to the increase in COVID, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Mr. Brown was born to the late Alton Brown Sr. and Anna Garvin Brown. He attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Brown proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was self-employed for 20 years as a distributor at Murray Cookie Company. He loved flying and restoring airplanes and cars. He loved to hunt, fish, travel, and spending time with his family. He never met a stranger. Mr. Brown was a member of Roberta Evangelistic Church, Gideon’s International, Macon West Camp, and AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association).
Mr. Brown lived a long wholesome and devout Christian life. He was the epitome of what used to be the moral fabric of this great nation. His smile lights up a room as he loved to express his love for his family and fellow man through humor. You could go on and on about this man’s character, values and beliefs but for those that knew him, there is no reason because he lived them every day.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patricia “Pat” Brown; daughter, Donna Eldridge; son, Lamar Brown; grandchildren, Christy (Chad), Jason (Angel), Drew (Erin), Robbie, Angela (James); thirteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; brother, Dan Brown (Joan); sisters, Barbara Fay (Frank), Etta Lee (Roger), Wanda (Bobby), Jeannette (Robert); and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
