Alfred Jennings Clay, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, September 14, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradley Baptist Church in Gray, Georgia, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. The family will greet from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bradley Baptist Church, 821 Monticello Highway, Gray GA 31032.
Alfred was born in Fort Valley, Georgia, to the late Jennings and Essie Mae Adams Clay. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Brewer Clay. Alfred was retired from Armstrong World Industries and was a member of Bradley Baptist Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Survivors include his children, Wesley Clay and Kevin Clay; daughters, Kimberly Clay Wilson and Crystal Lee Jackson; grandchildren, Chase Clay and Cole Clay; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two sisters, Valley Miller and Faye Stearn.
