Alvin “Buddy” Edward Sapp, 79, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Charles Carter will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 4277 Sgoda Road, Macon, GA 31217.
Mr. Sapp was born in Bleckley County, Georgia the son of the late Pearl Horne Sapp and Edward Sapp. He was a retired trucker haven driven for Central Georgia Motor Transport and Overnite Transportation. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mr.Sapp is survived by his wife, Jackie Roach Sapp of Dry Branch; children, Carol (Jeff) Floyd of Dry Branch and Alvin (Sherri) Sapp, Jr. of Danville; grandchildren, Jason (Christy) Floyd, Brooke Brackett, and Danielle Sapp; three great-grandchildren; seven siblings.
