Our family is heartbroken by the unexpected loss of Amy (Lyles) Wood, who passed away at just 49 after two extended hospital stays in Savannah, Georgia. A celebration of life will be held on August 9, 2025 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Doug Stroup officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM until service time. Amy was born in Macon, Ga to Ruth Lyles and the late Stephen Lyles. Amy spent the last six years in recovery, working hard to rebuild her life and be a positive role model for her family and friends. Amy was always ready to help others struggling with addiction, and her strength inspired many in our community.
Amy was a devoted mother to her daughters, Alaina White (18) and Alexis Wood (27). She also leaves behind a loving mother, Ruth Lyles; sisters, Tara Griffin (Brent), Kelly Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
