Sometimes I still catch myself wishing I could call you, hear your voice, hear you yelling at me, or just sit down and talk to you like we used to. I never thought I would miss even the little things so much.

We made so many memories together—memories I will carry with me for the rest of my life. There are days when I wish I could go back just for a moment, hug you a little tighter, and tell you how much I love you.

I know you’re in Heaven now, looking down on me and watching over me. I hope you’re proud of the person I’m becoming. I promise I’ll keep going, keep fighting, and keep your memory alive in everything I do.

If I could have just one more day with you, Mom, I wouldn’t waste a single second. I’d listen to every word, laugh at every story, and even let you yell at me one more time—because I would give anything to hear your voice again.

Mom, I don't know how to put into words what you were to me. You were my mother and my father, both. Every lesson, every piece of advice you gave me is still here, playing on repeat, making more sense now than it ever did when you were the one saying it.

When you had your stroke, I quit everything and was right there with you, day in and day out, every appointment, every setback, every night. When you moved to Georgia, I couldn't be there the way I wanted to be. Nathan needed me here, and that's a weight I'll carry forever. But know this, Mom: if I had been there, I would have exhausted every resource, fought every system, made every call, the same way I always did for you. You deserved somebody who wasn't going to stop until every option was gone. You deserved better than what you got.

You spent your whole life taking care of everybody but yourself. Now it's your turn to rest. No more pain, no more fighting, just peace.

I promise you I'll keep walking this the right way, with integrity, the way you raised me. I'll be strong for Nathan the way you were strong for all of us. He already misses you, Mom. He's going to grow up knowing exactly who you were.

You're not gone. You're just watching now, from somewhere better. I love you beyond anything I can put into words. Rest easy, Mom. Until I see you again.

Forever my Grandma

losing you is a pain i don’t think words could ever truly explain. my heart still struggles to understand that i have to live in a world where i can’t call you, hug you, hear your voice, or make another memory with you.

you were such a beautiful part of my life. you helped raise me, loved me, protected me, and taught me so much about strength, independence, and unconditional love. when I think of you, i don’t just think about the day you left us, i think about every moment that came before it. the laughter, the car rides, the store trips, your little snaps, our birthdays, holidays, and all the ordinary moments that became some of the most precious memories of my life.

i would give anything for just one more day with you. one more hug. one more “i love you.” one more chance to tell you how much you meant to me.

but even though my heart is broken, i know your love didn’t leave with you. it lives in me, in the memories you gave me, and in the person you helped me become.

Forever My Momma

Momma, there will never be enough words to express what you meant to me. Losing you has left a space in my heart that nothing could ever fill. I miss your presence, your voice, your love, and simply knowing you were here.

I find comfort in knowing that you are no longer suffering and that you are finally resting peacefully. My heart smiles knowing you are with your momma again, but selfishly, I wish you were still here with me.

Thank you for giving me life, for loving me, for being my momma, and for leaving behind memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my days. Your love will continue through your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
