A celebration of her life for Angela will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 2617 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tim Peavy officiating.
Mrs. Welker was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Edgar Joseph Parent and the late Marguerite Carlos Parent. She was retired from the Bibb County Board of Education, where she was substitute teacher and special education parapro. She was a scout leader for 25 years and earned her wood badge, and was day camp director, and a member of Methodist Faith. Angela was a devoted wife of 58 years and a loving mother.
Mrs. Welker is survived by her husband Richard Welker of Fort Valley, Ga., two sons Tommy Welker and Billy Welker.
