Mrs. Anita "Darselle" Hammock, 55, died Tuesday morning, June 20, 2017, at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 11 AM in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday evening, June 22, from 6 until 8 PM.
Mrs. Hammock was born in Macon, Georgia to Marvin Howard Stripling, and the late Sara Rowland Stripling. She attended Central High School, and also attended Court Reporting School in Atlanta. Darselle was a member of the former Church of God in Gray. She had a curious and loving nature, collecting National Geographic magazines, enjoying crime and mystery television shows, and generously giving hugs to all of her family and friends.
Mrs. Hammock is survived by her son, Shane Hammock; daughter, Beth (Bobby) Johnson; sister, Donna Davis; brother, Shawn (Sonja) Purdee; grandson, Konnor Levi Johnson; nieces, Alyssa Davis, and Amanda Davis; father, Marvin Howard Stripling; and a very large extended family.
