Annie Julia Tidwell

Annie "Ann" Julia Grant Tidwell, age 90, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Born in Byron, Georgia, Ann was the daughter of the late Philo D. Grant Sr. and Annie Lois Merritt Grant. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Philo D. Grant Jr. and Jack R. Grant.

Ann graduated from Crawford County High School and retired from Cigna Insurance Company after many years of dedicated service. A faithful member of Fellowship Church in Lizella, she served as the church organist for more than 60 years. Her love for her church, family, and community was evident in all she did. Ann will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend whose kindness and faith touched countless lives.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 71 years, Wayne Tidwell; her children, Randy Tidwell (Traci), Sylvia McMillan (Randy), and Tammie Litsas (Chris); her grandchildren, Jason Tidwell (Marti), Allison Chapman (Jason), Brandi Todd (Jeff), Brandon Tidwell (Jennifer), Laura Litsas, and Zach Hightower; and her great-grandchildren, Bristal Todd, Asher Todd, Anna Grace Chapman, Miller Wayne Chapman, Aniston Tidwell, Macy Mae Chapman, Reese Tidwell, and Rooney Bee Tidwell. She is also survived by her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Melba Wade (Cliff), Emory Tidwell, Linda Grant, and Wanda Dixon (Donnie), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 3:00 p.m. at Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Bobby Hamlin and Reverend Ricky Tidwell will officiate. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with Dr. Taylor Carter officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Fellowship Church, 4967 Sandy Point Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052.

Ann's legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
