Barbara Johnston Grizzle, 86 of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, December 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Macon, she was the daughter of the late William Clarence Johnston and Ouida Willingham Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Barney Grizzle,Jr.
Mrs. Grizzle was a retired transcriptionist for Dr. Mufid Othman in Macon and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed searching for the genealogy of her family and working in her yard, planting and tending to all her flowers and plants.
She is survived by her children, Pennie Preston (Rick), Kellie Carr (Matt) and Hollie Rowe (Jeff), Grandchildren, Andrew Preston (Kiersten) and Tucker Preston, Jordan Carr (Leia), Jonathon Rowe (Kayla) and Laurel Rowe (Josh), great grandchildren, Greyson, Carter and Mollie Rowe and Blakely Preston. Brother, Mack Johnston (Jeannie).
The family would like to thank the staff of Pine Point Hospice and West Hill Memory Care for their excellent care and compassion to Mrs. Grizzle.
