Betty McCuen Garrard

Betty McCuen Garrard, 83, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11A.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Joe McDaniel, the Rev. Charles E. McCuen and the Rev. Jack Chalmers will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M., Monday at the funeral home. While flowers are accepted, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jay's HOPE Foundation, 1157-B Forsyth Street, Macon 31201 or to your charity of choice .

Mrs. Garrard, wife of the late John Henry Garrard, was a lifelong resident of Macon and the daughter of the late Jessie Vasco McCuen and Edna Lee Morris McCuen. She was a devoted homemaker and worked forty-two years as bookkeeper with Jackson Oldsmobile. Mrs. Garrard was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Wayne (Cheryl) Garrard of Macon; her daughter, Camille (Bobby) Sikes of Macon; her brother, Rev. Charles (Susie) McCuen of Houston, TX; her sisters, Carolyn Griffin of Macon and Ann (Bill) Hardison of Macon; her grandchildren, John Garrard of Macon, Tiffany (Shawn) Cannon of Macon, Stephanie (Robbie) Floyd of Brewton, AL and John (Misti) Sikes of Macon and numerous other dear family members and friends.
