Betty Joan McDaniel

Betty Joan McDaniel, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will meet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon GA 31204.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James and Trevie Nail McClanahan. She was preceded in death by her husband; Gary E. McDaniel, Sr. She was a graduate of Miller High School and was an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the Fedelis Sunday School Class. In addition to raising five children, she also assisted her husband for many years in his Allstate Insurance Office. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, family and friends. She is survived by her children, Vickie Lynn (Lonnie) Lavender of Jeffersonville, Darrell (Denise) McDaniel of Macon, Deborah M. (Tommy) Holmes of Macon, Donald T. (Ann) McDaniel of Macon, Gary E. (Jackie) McDaniel, Jr. of Jeffersonville, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sister, Bebe Osteen of Atlanta and brother, Billie McClanahan of Atlanta and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
