Betty S Moore, age 91, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in Washington County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Lofton Shurling and Annie Maude Brown Shurling. She was the widow of James M. Moore Jr and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Connie M. O'Kelly and her sister, Carolyn Brown, brother Billy Shurling.
Mrs. Moore was a former employee of the Georgia Department of Veteran Services, and former member of the Northridge Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Hill Toppers and loved to sing with the Sweet Adelines.
She enjoyed drawing, coloring and making jewelry for all to enjoy, especially she loved working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Wallace R. Moore(Bonnie) and Warren K. Moore, both of Milledgeville, Ga and five grandchildren, Jay Moore(Tiffany), Cory Moore(Heather), Robert O'Kelly, Katie O'Kelly, Michael O'Kelly(Anna) and five great grandchildren, Haley Grace Moore, C.J. Moore, Meadow Moore, Gage Moore and Abigail Fields O'Kelly, Sister, Sylena Brooks(Everette). Several Nieces and Nephews.
