Bobby Lane Jernigan, 65, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lizella United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Loran Smith officiating. The family will meet friends on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Crossing, Macon, GA 31210.
Mr. Jernigan was born in Brewton, AL. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, William Jernigan, John B. Jernigan, and Joseph E. Jernigan. He was a truck driver with TCW Company. Bobby was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church and was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted and loving son, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his parents, John A. and Eleanor Harris of Lizella, son, Chris Jernigan (Patricia) of Lizella, two grandsons, Corey and Caleb Jernigan of Lizella and sister, Pam (Eddie) Miller of Warner Robins and several nephews.
