

Bonnie W. Sharpe, 91, formerly of Warner Robins, Georgia completed her earthly journey and began her eternal life in Heaven on June 24, 2026. Bonnie was born in Macon, Georgia on March 10, 1935, as the daughter of the late O.W. Woodward, Sr. and Dollie Sapp Woodward.
She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years Ronald Ernest Sharpe, daughter Sheila Sharpe McDaniel, and siblings Oscar “Billy” W. Woodward, Jr. and Jimmy Leon Woodward. Survivors include her son Ron Sharpe (Ginger); son-in-law Mac McDaniel; granddaughters Heather Davis (Andy) and Penny Sharpe; grandsons Ryan Lewis (Courtney) and Andrew White; great granddaughters OG Cable, Macy-Ann Davis, and Dollie Lewis; and great grandson Hardy Lewis.
Bonnie grew up in Macon, Georgia, was educated at Fort Hawkins School, Miller High School, and Wesleyan College School of Nursing. In 1954, Bonnie began her career as a Registered Nurse in the neonatal units at the Macon Hospital and the Houston County Medical Center, with intermittent breaks throughout her life to care for her children. In 1954, Bonnie met and married Ronald Sharpe, the love of her life for 67 years. They began their life together in Macon and later raised their family in Warner Robins.
Bonnie was a faithful servant and fierce Christian Soldier in the Baptist church, led by God to sing in the choir; teach Vacation Bible and Sunday School; and actively work with many Youth Groups successfully leading many to Christ. Bonnie was very creatively blessed by God in many gifted ways: writing music; composing poems and short stories; writing and publishing 3 books about her faith in God and her mother; painting; drawing; and playing the piano, autoharp, and keyboard.
Bonnie enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband for his work, marathon running, and for their pleasure. Extensive travels included Israel, London, Hawaii, Montreal, San Francisco, San Antonio, Pueblo, Las Vegas, and many other cities throughout the United States. Bonnie loved to travel with her family, which included trips to Disney World, Hawaii, Dollywood, New Orleans, Daytona and Panama City beaches, and other special and fun places loved by her mother, aunt, grandchildren, and children.
Bonnie was a great cook of so many homemade dishes. Her husband often referred to Bonnie as the “Executive Chef” and when asked by others where is a good place to eat, he would proudly state the home address where he and Bonnie lived. Bonnie adored all of her grandchildren, being physically present at each of their births, baptisms, graduations, and many other special events.
Along with her husband, Bonnie enjoyed spending time at their lake house on Lake Sinclair, cooking barbecue, coleslaw, beans, and other picnic dishes for great food and cherished fellowship with so many family members and friends. Bonnie will best be known by her generous giving, support, love, dedication, and care for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral plans for Bonnie will be determined in the future to be announced later. Donations may kindly be made to The Georgia Chapter (Macon, Georgia) of the Alzheimer’s Association or
Family Hospice in Charleston, South Carolina. The family of Bonnie Sharpe would like to acknowledge and thank Summer’s Landing of Warner Robins; and both Ashley Gardens Memory Care and Family Hospice, both in Charleston, South Carolina for providing care to Bonnie until completion of her Earthly Journey.
