Brian Durwood Everett, 52, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 9, 2021. A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at First Evangelical Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be private for family at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Long and the Rev. Taylor Carter officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crawford County Fire Department, 1011 U.S. 341, Roberta GA 31078.
He was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James D. and Doris Sutton Everett. Brian was a graduate of the class of 1987 from Windsor Academy. Brian grew up attending Bellevue Baptist Church. He served as a Youth Pastor in several churches with his longest tenure being at West Highland Baptist Church. Brian served as an Associate Pastor at First Evangelical Church and a member of F.U.S.E. Sunday School Class. He served as Chaplain of the Crawford County Fire Department and Piedmont Hospital. Brian ministered to many people as a Counselor and Pastor. He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Lindsay Everett, children, James, Audrey and Grayson Everett, sister, Melinda (Joseph) Pittman, brother, Alan (Teresa) Everett, father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Annette Bartlett, sister-in-law, Allison (Brooks) Green, nieces and nephews, Brittainy (Brad) Horne, Kristina (Josh) Kendall, Brandi (Brian) Ellingham, Kaitlyn Everett, Bowen, Andrew and Cason Green and several great nieces and nephews.
Brian has touched so many lives throughout his ministry in our community and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ephesians 3:20.
