

Calvin Webb, 72, “eased on out” on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park; burial to follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jay Harris officiating. The family may be contacted at their residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Ministry at Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, GA 31052.
Calvin was born in Milledgeville, GA to Helen Thrasher and the late Ernest Webb. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Semper fi. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer after thirty-eight years of service. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Calvin was a member of “The Ocmulgee Knife Club” and he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time at his lake house. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Alma Holland Webb of Macon; daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Baggett of Dublin, Karen Webb of New York City; grandson, Little e Baggett of Dublin; mother, Helen Thrasher of Sweetwater, TN; sister, Sylvia (Ted) Jenkins of Gray; brother, Dennis (Sara) Webb of Maryville, TN; brother-in-law, Frank (Debbie) Holland of Smarr, GA; honorary brother, Billy (Marsha) McElhenney of Lizella, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
