A visitation for Carlton will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Snow's Funerals & Cremations at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204, followed by a celebration of his life at 2:00 PM. Bishop Greg Banks will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Carlton was born in Carrollton, Georgia the son of the late Sarah Clifton Brown and Clayton Brown and was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Stovall, a brother, Ronald Brown, and a sister, Susan Elliott. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam and S. Korea.
Carlton is survived by his wife, Donna M. Brown; daughter, Lauren Comer Stovall; grandchildren, Scott and Curtis Davidson; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Marie Jones, Allen Brown, Patrice Parham (Kenny), Alesia O'Reilly (Ray), and Melva Crumbley (Steve); numerous nieces and nephews;
