Charles B. Buffington

Charles B. Buffington, 85, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was the loving husband of Doris Thompson Buffington for 65 years. Charles was an employee of Dixie Plumbing Supply for 39 years. He later worked for Sears until the store closed. He loved hunting and fishing. He was the father of Carey Buffington (son), Dianne Gorman (daughter) and Jeffrey Buffington (son); four grandchildren, Stacy Buffington, Amy Amerine, Mandy Miller and Dustin Gorman; and nine great grands.

He was preceded in death by his father, Maurie Buffington, his mother, Vinnie Buffington and a brother, Truiett Buffington. He was a current member of Porterfield Baptist Church and a former member of Log Cabin Baptist Church until it closed. He was also an ordained deacon.

A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1:00PM. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
