Charles T. Burdette, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Scott Foster and Marvin Foster officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mr. Burdette was born in Lanett, AL to the late Dallas and Sarah A. Burdette. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Susan Johnson and Helen Burdette and his nieces. Mr. Burdette was self-employed as an Electrical Utility Contractor and was a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association and the State of Georgia Licensing Board. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Loette Burdette of Macon, two sons, Dr. Alan (Judy) Burdette of Jackson, Stephen Burdette of Yulee, FL., four grandchildren, William “Andy” Burdette of Marietta, Erin Burdette of San Francisco, CA, Lindsay Burdette of Atherton, CA and Mallory Burdette of Fort Lauderdale, FL,.
