Charles Franklin Carter, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 27, 2020. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Randall Mimbs officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
Charles was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Milo and Mildred Carter and was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi Taylor; stepson, Bobby Tanner; and brothers, Roy, Dan, and Wayne Carter. He was a self-employed painter.
He is survived by his wife, Christine C. Carter; daughter, Jami Carter Smith (Clayton); stepsons, Eddie and Ricky Rowland; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; one sister, Ruth Dominy of Grayson, GA; several nieces and nephews.
