MACON - Charles "Chuck" Wagner Fennell, 45, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., February 24, 2010, Wednesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will meet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home and asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Tattnall Square Academy Tuition Assistance Program, 111 Trojan Trail, Macon, GA 31210 or to the Middle Georgia REACT c/o Bibb County Sheriff's Department, 668 Oglethorpe Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mr. Fennell, son of the late Laverne and Edward Fennell, was a lifelong resident of Macon and attended Tattnall Square Academy. He worked as Government Business Coordinator with YKK for twenty-seven years and owned and operated Chuck's Office and Printing Supplies. For twelve years, because of his love for his Tattnall Square family, you would find him working tirelessly directing traffic, helping out in the concession stands, playing music and announcing Tattnall baseball games, cleaning up or whatever needed to be done at all school events. He was a member of the Middle Georgia REACT and a former board member that volunteers with the Bibb County Sheriff's Department for twenty years.
Those who loved him most will forever treasure his memory, his wife of nine years, Cindy D. Fennell of Macon; his children, Jessica Fennell of Atlanta and Brian Fennell and Katlyn Guin, both of Macon; his "best buds" and lifelong friends, John (Jenny) Meyer of Macon and Brian Adams of Bolingbroke; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mavis Golden of Macon, sister-in-law, Deborah Morris of Macon, brother-in-laws, Jeff Morris of Gray and Deron (Lelia) Davis of Griffin, and his nieces and nephews, Brandi Morris, Will Davis and Matt Davis.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
