Charles Floyd, 80, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Charles was born in McRae, Georgia to the late Manning Floyd and Maude Youngblood Floyd Cook and was preceded in death by his wife Christine McGee Floyd. He was a sheet metal mechanic and an avid outdoorsman, including fishing, hunting and working on his house at Lake Sinclair.
Survivors include his daughters, Theresa (Buddy) Prosser, Vicki (Bob) Matthews and Anissa (Rob) DeRieux; grandchildren, Brandy (Scott) Norsworthy, Courtney DeRieux, Trey DeRieux and Lisa (Doug) Dojan; great grandchildren, Tyler Norsworthy, Taylor Grace Norsworthy, Brie Dojan and Taylor Dojan; and his beloved German Shepherd, Tripp.
