A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Powell officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Charlie was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, to the late Earl H. and Birma McCurdy Peek. He retired as a Captain with the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department after 35 years of service and retired from the insurance business after 40 years.
Charlie was a co-founder of the Flag City Mustang Club. He was a pilot, artist, jewelry maker, and a true jack of all trades. He was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Maggie Watson Peek of Macon; his son, Stephen Peek (Dr. Julian McNeese-Lambert) of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Lillie Peek of Oklahoma City and Bennett Peek of Daytona Beach, three sisters, Sue Stevenson of Macon, Sheila Peek of Macon, and Teresa (Mike) Jones of Fort Payne, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
