Charles R. Tolbert, 82, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Father David Koetter officiating.
Charles was born in Albany, Georgia to the late Fred L. and Irene Dekle Tolbert. He was preceded in death by wife, Joy Tanner, brother, Fred L. Tolbert, Jr. and sister Gloria T. Rogers. Charles was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, Florida where he served as a Eucharist Minister for twenty years.
He is survived by his five sons; Chuck Tolbert Roberts, Perry D. Roberts, II, Robert MacDowell, David MacDowell, John MacDowell, brother; James (Lynn) Tolbert, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and twenty two nieces and nephews.
