

Charles Alva Wade, 89, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Tommy Wood officiating.
Charles was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John H. and Marion Gladys VanEvera Wade. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Dennis L. Carter and a granddaughter, Amanda Wade, his siblings, Mabel LeZert, Carl Harvey Wade, John A. Wade, Marion G. Wade, Billy H. Wade, Grace Eleanor Wade Wadley and Daniel Wade. Charles served his country in the United States Navy and was retired from Robins Air Force Base as an Electronics Technician. He was a member of the Church of God in Albany, Georgia. Charles enjoyed fishing and working with his hands fixing things. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Betty S. Wade of Macon, children, Leon (Pam) Berry of Dry Branch, Donnie (Amy) Wade of Leesburg, Chuck Wade of Albany, Valerie Magee of Albany, Brenda Holton of Macon and Linda (Gary) Sanford of Atlanta, grandchildren, Nick Crawford, Brandon Berry, Tommy Sanford, Virgil Holton, Brandon Holton, Rejessa Stevens, Shawn Wade, and Alisha Wade, great grandchildren, Oliva Grace Crawford, Nicky Crawford III, Breanna Wade, Courtney Wade and Will Berry.
