Chris Wilcox, 28, died September 2, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 4 o’clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends for an hour prior to the service. The Rev. Steve Waldorf will officiate. The family suggests that those who wish, may make memorial donations to Atlanta Postal Credit Union, P.O. Box 89, Macon, GA 31202, to the care of Destiny R. Wilcox.
Chris was the son of William Dennis, Jr. and Nancy Scott Wilcox. He was born in Macon, and attended Central High School. He graduated as valedictorian from Renaissance Academy. Chris was a member of Cross Keys United Methodist Church, and worked for himself as a construction worker. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Julia Wilcox, and a grandfather, William Dennis Wilcox, Sr.
Surviving Mr. Wilcox are his mother, Nancy Wilcox; father, William Dennis (Lashunda) Wilcox, Jr.; sister, Jennifer (Gary) Erickson; brother, William Joshua Wilcox; daughter, Destiny Wilcox; grandmother, Marion Ray; aunts, Grace (Brian) Sullivan, Susan (Lee) Chism, Paula (Larry) Ostrander; companion, Shawna Anthony; and a host of friends.
