A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Minton officiating.
Cecil was born in McRae, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue R. Padgett, and his son, Roger Phil Baker.
Cecil proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Town and Country T.V. Repair. He was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and a faithful member of his Sunday School class. He was also a member of the VFW and the DAV, where he served as Vice President.
Cecil was an avid dancer and was known for being a sharp dresser. He will be fondly remembered for his faith, his service to his country, and the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his beloved best friend, caregiver, and dance partner, Cladys Ann Hamlin; daughter, June (Larry) Huckaby; daughter-in-law, Linda Wright Baker; grandsons, Jonathan (Melissa) Baker, Joel Scott Baker, and Jason Gunter; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Phil Baker and L.E. Baker; and caregiver, Brad Hamlin.
