

LIZELLA – Connie Fay Byrd, 53, entered her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with burial in Union Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylor County. The Rev. Jimmy Rozier and the Rev. Tim Rozier will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Byrd, daughter of the late Clarence Alvin Wilson and Maxine Randles Wilson, was born in Michigan City, IN. She worked with Byrd Delivery and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Byrd was a member of Brookhaven Full Gospel Church. She was the sister of the late Mary Helen Winstead.
She will be missed by those she loved most, her husband, Michael Royce Byrd of Lizella; daughter, Becky Mullis (Darrell) of Lizella; son, Nick Rozier (Heather) of Lizella; stepchildren, Brian Byrd of Lizella, Richard and David Rozier of Forsyth, Marie Graham of Soperton, and Kathy Whaley of Madisonville, TN; her god-daughter, Chasity Byrd of Warner Robins; two brothers, Alvin Lee Wilson of Lizella and Thomas Wayne Wilson of Manila, AR; four sisters, Nancy Ann McAlister of Canal Point, FL, Bonnie Lou Crutchfield of Aiken, SC, Joyce Marie Patterson and Peggy Ann Weber, both of Manila, AR; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
