David Curtis Crawford, 88, went to be with his Lord on July 30, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Theus and Pastor Trey Dickerson will officiate. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Crawford was born in Macon, GA to the late David M. Crawford and Laura Taylor Watts. He was a devoted Christian, an ordained minister, private pilot, and business man. Mr. Crawford enjoyed gospel music and was a self-taught musician. He played at the Moose Club and various venues. Mr. Crawford loved music and it propelled his passions in life. During the 1960’s he owned and operated DaPo Teen Club, here in Macon. He retired from Robins Air Force Base as a production manager and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Crawford was heavily involved in The Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International for over 30 years and was former president of the Macon chapter. He worked in prison ministry alongside his late wife and had a heart for the ministry and for people. He was a very compassionate man. Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Crawford and was a loving father, husband and provider.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracie Crawford White; and extended family and friends.
