David G. Pipes (Ret. USN) 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 3, 5530 Thomaston Road, Macon GA 31220 or American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.
David was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late Robert D. and Dorothy J. Cariens Pipes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Pedersen Pipes. He served his country and was retired as a Lieutenant Commander of the United States Navy with twenty years of service. David was a member of the American Legion Post 3 and the VFW.
He is survived by his sons, Joshua D. Pipes (Melissa) of Brunswick, Georgia, Matthew S. Pipes (Kristy) of Honolulu, Hawaii, grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Evan and Alexis, brother, Roger Pipes of North Mankato, Minnesota, sister, Lori Jackson of Independence, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
