Deborah “Debbie” Angela Thompson, our loving angel, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Marty Watson officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children’s Hospital, 888 Pine Street, Macon, 31201.
Debbie was born in Macon, Georgia to Peggy Ussery Smith and the late Milton T. Smith, Sr. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and former member of Bethesda Baptist Church. Debbie had a heart of gold and loved helping others, especially sitting with her elderly patients. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her life companion, Steve Lucas; children, Danny Thompson and Stacy Thompson; grandchildren, Jacob and Sully Thompson; siblings, Talmadge Smith, Michael Smith, Kim Brantley and Rebecca Weathersby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
