

Dell Darrell Gledhill, 98, joined his wife in heaven on Saturday, February 17, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Grinstead officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Dell was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Arthur Clayton and Sarah Kate Anderson Gledhill. He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy one years, Faye Gledhill after only five days of her passing. Dell was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Impink, Josephine Mueller, Louise Herin, Patty Williams, Arthur Clayton Gledhill, Jr. and Eugene Gledhill. Dell served during World War II. He was a former member of Lakeview Baptist Church and was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. He was a member of the Macon Motor Boat Club and he enjoyed working on small engine repairs and farming. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and care given to Dell, by Regency Southern Hospice and his sitters, Brenda Sinclair, Glenda Summers, Tiffany Robinson and niece, Susan Wright.
He is survived by his, three daughters, Pam Gledhill of Macon, Beth Gledhill (Dudley Shannon) of Macon, Judy Dell Gledhill of Macon, two granddaughters, Caroline Powell (Carl) Craven of Macon and Hailey (Lawrence) Adams of Warner Robins, a great grandbaby due in September, and several nieces and nephews and special friend, Stat Murray.
