

Delores Mae Grotte Reed, 100, of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Rebecca, Georgia at 3 p.m. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. till service time in the funeral home.
Born in New Haven, Minn., she was the daughter of the late John Gustav Grotte and Mae Iverson. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Clinton Reed, son, Thomas Duane Wichman and brother, Gordon Grotte.
Mrs Reed was a retired Supply Specialist from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class and was a member of the Lois Rasar Homemakers Club and the “Busy Bee’s Sewing Group.
She is survived by her son, John David Wichman and his wife Diane; Four grandchildren Joshua Wichman, Jeff Wichman, Erin Wichman and Jake Wichman, Four great grandchildren; Brent Wichman, Charlotte Wichman, Ella Cohran and Jaxson Cohran and one great great grandchild Leia Grace Wichman
