Dennis Hugh Ellis, 76, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Carol Davis officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Dennis was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Henry Lawton and Drucilla NeSmith Ellis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melody Anne Hutto Ellis and brother, Henry Dale Ellis. Dennis served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam War. He was retired from Bell South and was a Methodist.
He is survived by his brother-in-laws, Steve Hutto of Byron, Patrick Hutto of Tallahassee, and friend, Margaret Cameron of Forsyth and several nieces and nephews.
