Don H. Porter, 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Grist officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Living Hope Baptist Church, 3290 Lower Hartley Bridge Road, Byron, GA 31008.
Don was born in Collins, Georgia to the late Maxie and Eliza Anderson Porter. He served his country in the United States Army. Don was a truck driver and was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed yardwork and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Boothe Porter of Byron, children, Joyce Reese, grandsons, Keith “Skeeterbow” Raymond, Kyle Reese and Lyle Reese, children, Jeff Wilbourne, Terry (Sherrie) Wilbourne, and Jeanie Coalson, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and cousins, Reggie and Jack Dees and nieces, Lynn Porter Gonzalez and Alicia McDaniel.
