A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Eddie Coatney officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donna was born in Danville, Virginia, to the late Howard Dallie and Laura Francis Moore Eldreth. She was a woman who treasured the simple things in life and, above all, loved her family dearly. Donna had a generous heart and was known for her willingness to help others—she truly would give you the shirt off her back.
Donna attended Macon State College and was of the Baptist faith. She retired from the City of Macon after 18 years as a Municipal Court Clerk. She had a special love for her dogs and enjoyed collecting clocks and angels. Her collections reflected her appreciation for the little things that brought beauty and meaning to her life. Those who knew Donna will remember her loving spirit, her generosity, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Leach; her son, Robert Earl Brown; her daughter, Debra Trull; her brothers, James L. Eldreth and Howard Eldreth; her sisters, Norma Woody and Virginia Sanford; and her granddaughter, Mindeona Brown.
Donna leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts, including her children, David D. Trull of Macon and Shannon Hunt; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Though she will be deeply missed, Donna’s love, kindness, and generous spirit will live on through the family and friends who were blessed to know her.
