Doris Britt Baggarley, 83, of Macon, joined the Lord on March 9, 2011. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12 at 1:30 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. A celebration service will be held Saturday, March 12 at 3:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with burial at Culloden Cemetery. Rev. John Beck and Rev. Jimmy Duke will officiate.
Mrs. Baggarley was born in Thomaston, GA. She had been a resident of Macon for 53 years. Her parents were the late Thomas Calvin Britt and Ellie Ruth Franklin. She was the sister to the late Curtis “Red” Britt and Thomas Calvin Britt of Thomaston.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women for over 40 years. Before retirement, Mrs. Baggarley was a data transcriber for Robins Air Force Base for 17 years.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Perry Parks of Macon; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Martha Baggarley of Macon. Her grandchildren include Candice Baggarley Allison, Christina Ann Parks and Robert Perry Parks. Three step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, the family suggest donations be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4600 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31210.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
