Doris C. Haskins

Doris C. Haskins, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 31, 2014 surrounded by her family. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with her son the Rev. Glenn Haskins officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, September 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mrs. Haskins was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Dennis and Bessie Rich. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Haskins, her great grandson, Griffin Haskins, brother, Lewis Rich and sister, Bessie Wilkinson. Mrs. Haskins was a member of Glenwood Hills United Methodist Church and enjoyed her flower gardening. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her husband of seventy two years, Manning G. Haskins of Macon, children, Pat Marcus of Macon, Rev. Glenn (Fran) Haskins of Macon, Angie (Jerry) Owens of Macon, six grandchildren, Ron Heath Jr., Mark Haskins Jr., Courtney Hatlee, Colby Zampa, Cliff Owens, Amanda Owens, six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and brother, Dennis Rich, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
